About Us
iThinkAfrica | Empowering Minds I Transforming Africa
Who we are
iThinkAfrica is a pan-African nonprofit organization based in South Africa, committed to equipping Africans of all ages particularly young professionals, students, and grassroots leaders with critical thinking skills to navigate complexity, lead with vision, and create lasting impact.
At the heart of iThinkAfrica is the belief that the continent’s abundant wealth in people, culture, and resources can only be fully harnessed by a generation that is able to think independently, systemically, and ethically.
We are building an inclusive intellectual ecosystem that challenges inherited assumptions, fosters innovation, and encourages rigorous inquiry. Through digital platforms, community-driven programs, and global partnerships, we aim to raise the standard of thought leadership and cultivate a generation of solution-driven African thinkers who can compete and collaborate on the global stage.
Our Why
Africa is the youngest and most resource-rich continent on Earth, yet it continues to face profound challenges governance crises, educational inequity, poverty, and underrepresentation in global innovation. One root cause? A widespread lack of critical thinking education and application across society.
iThinkAfrica exists to change that.
We believe that if we can equip people with the cognitive tools to question, challenge, and create, we will unlock Africa’s ability to solve its own problems from the grassroots to government, from boardrooms to classrooms.
Our Vision
An Africa where critical thinking is culturally embedded, shaping citizens who lead ethically, innovate fearlessly, and solve problems systemically for the continent and the world.

Our Story
iThinkAfrica was founded by Daki Nkanyane, a South African leader, strategist, and advocate for cognitive liberation, after decades of observing how critical thinking can foster progress for Africa in the area of business, education, politics, and society at large.
Inspired by Africa’s youthful energy and global momentum toward new power paradigms (BRICS, Agenda 2063, South-South co-operation), iThinkAfrica was born to bridge the intellectual gap that continues to keep Africa reactive instead of proactive.
We are not just a nonprofitwe are a movement, a platform , and a community of thinkers and doers committed to reshaping Africa’s destiny from the inside out.
